The construction of our front veranda went smoothly and professionally. I think you’ll agree that the veranda is gorgeous and that it really complements the house. The Foremen and workers were punctual and courteous in their work. All work was tidied up at the end of the day. The projects were on time and on budget with estimates given in a timely fashion. The foreman was willing to do a couple of small improvements as a courtesy. Pictures were frequently taken to show and explain what was being done on the roof. All in all one could not expect a better outcome on the project.
I hire Ascot Home Improvements again to come to Midland to redo my boathouse. I had them up to do a roofing job and I was very impressed with their workmanship I wanted them to come back and completely re-do all the siding on my boathouse. The quality of workmanship is excellent. Larry Vallentyne and his crews go the extra mile to make sure that everything is done right I asked for a few extra things to be done and they were more then happy to accommodate my requests. John and his crew created a hatch so we could get into/underneath our ancient mudroom. There was a ton of debris to be removed, but the site was pin-neat throughout and after the job. They needed to dig deeper than forecast and to install a window well for the hatch, and brought in a specialist to custom-make a grate/cover for it. When it became apparent that we had to fix a plumbing problem, John brought in an excellent plumber. He also recommended an insulation company to insulate under the mud room, and we were pleased with them, too.
They came when they said they would come, did what they said they would do, dealt with the curve-balls effectively. Very professional, we will hire Ascot again.
Working with a very particular and quality minded designer ( Aykroyd Design) required an equally particular contractor with quality service and attention to detail. Ascot gets full marks in all categories. Our designer was delighted and they were a delight to work with – always punctual , pleasant and ready with input and ideas that enhanced the finished result. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others and use them again ourselves.
As relatively new homeowners, we were very fortunate to find John and his team at Ascot. They have completed every project for us over the past 8 years. We have always been impressed with the work ethic, the work quality, the politeness of everyone we’ve encountered. We wouldn’t think of calling anyone else!
